Bryan's Bees has been doing professional bee removal more safely, affordably, and humanely than pest control since 2012. No job is too big or too small. If we can reach your bees, we can remove them. We have rescued thousands of colonies of bees, and we would love the opportunity to rescue yours. We are licensed, insured, and all our work includes a contract that has a quality guarantee so you know exactly what you are paying for.
Every beekeeper on our staff is a bee removal specialist. We have a rigorous training and testing program that involves beekeeping, construction, and live bee removal. All of our techs are required to train with a mentor for a minimum of six months. This ensures that the bees are removed safely, and that any damage required to access the hive is as minimal, and easy to repair as possible.
We’re the best resource for live bee removal in Ventura County, Los Angeles County, Kern County, Seattle, and Portland. We safely collect bees without harming them, and take them to our local apiaries where they can live natural and happy lives. We never exterminate bees under any circumstances.
Poisoning hives not only kills one of our most important pollinators, but it also leaves all of the wax, pesticide, and honey behind. This can leave you with a terribly sticky, toxic, and expensive mess that will attract more bees and make your problems worse until it is all removed and dealt with properly.
Pest control companies are often not completely honest about what a bee removal costs. Bryan used to work in pest control, and spraying the bees often costed $150-350 to kill the hive, and then around $800 more to clean up the mess they made. This bee removal method eliminates a valuable natural resource, kills innocent insects needlessly, and places hazardous materials into the environment and into your home.
We are bee enthusiasts, and by using our live bee removal service you’re preserving the life of beautiful insects which are critical to our food production and ecosystems. Each bee removal project is completely unique, therefore pricing for our live bee removal service is quoted individually on a custom basis. Colonies of bees grow from a brand new problem into an established problem in as little as one month, and they grow rapidly from there. Removing the bees as soon as possible means less work for the beekeeper, an easier transition for the bees, and lower pricing for you. Contact us today to schedule a live bee removal in any of our service areas in California including: Ventura County, Los Angeles County, Kern County, Santa Barbara County, Oregon service areas including: Portland and surrounding areas.
" Excellent!!! We called them Sunday afternoon late when we noticed the 9" honey bee hive under our eave. I was given a 2-hr window on Monday to suit my schedule . Mike called 40 minutes prior to his arrival at the early part of the window to let me know his ETA. He was on time! Polite and personable. Told me the cost after looking at the hive $150. He took care with his equipment, ladder and tools and was cautious in the garden with his ladder. He gently scraped the hive from the eave and put it in a box using incense-smelling smoke to entice the bees into the box with the queen and the hive. Fascinating to watch! Mike told me there may be a few stragglers left here but shouldn't be a problem for us. However, if we see any issues after 10 days to just call him and he will come back and get them. I like that they are moving the bees to a new home where they will serve a useful purpose to farmers and hopefully to produce some of our area's wonderful honey! Highly recommend Bryan and his staff!"

" Not only did Bryan answer my phone call at 7:45am after a hive came crashing down at my preschool-- he sent someone over within an hour! Alan was incredible and provide me with a ton of information to keep the families safe.
"I'm very grateful the bees were relocated to a safe home for a responsible price. Highly recommend this honest company! "

Q: Do you kill the bees?
A: No! We are a beekeeping company. Any and all bees removed will be relocated to one of our apiaries!
Q: How much do you charge?
A: Prices really vary from job to job. Some jobs are simple and take just a few minutes, others can be complex and will take several crew members several hours. The best way to get an accurate quote from us is to call.
Q: Can't I get rid of the bees myself?
A: We don't recommend it. Best case scenario, sometimes homeowners have had success dealing with the bees themselves. Worst case scenario you mess up. If the bees aren't completely killed in the first attempt they tend to get very aggressive. Because of the extra aggression, the chance of a queen no longer being in the colony, and the pesticide disposal, it becomes a lot more work for us to deal with, and often makes the removal a lot more expensive. On top of all this, the bees really don't appreciate it when homeowners deal with it themselves. African bees exist in California, so there is a very real risk you could get yourself hospitalized. We really can't emphasize how important it is to have an expert enough.
Q: I think I have Carpenter or Bumble bees! What do I do?
A: We would be happy to come by and confirm your suspicion. We absolutely love seeing all different types of bees. Honey bees are really the only bees that build large, long term colonies. If you do have a type of bee that isn't bumble bees the best thing you can do is let them live their life. Unlike honey bees the colony typically disappears after 1-3 months.
